An American League series continues Wednesday night when the Kansas City Royals (3-9, 2-3 away) visit the Texas Rangers (7-4, 6-2 home). Kansas City has been one of the worst teams in early on this season, while the Rangers appear to have made a leap early on this year. Below is my MLB pick for Royals vs Rangers.

Kansas City Royals vs Texas Rangers Betting Pick

The Pick: Texas Rangers -161

This game will be played at Globe Life Field at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Why Bet the Texas Rangers:

✅ Texas has been good of late having won nine of their last 13 games played.

✅ The Rangers are good in Arlington as they have won eight of their last 10 games at home.

✅ Kansas City is bad in Texas having lost 10 of their last 11 games at Globe Life Field.

The Kansas City Royals Still Looking for Their Bats

Kansas City lost their third straight game, but they will be happy that their bats woke up a bit. The Royals have the lowest batting average, by quite a bit, early this season and it looks like it could be a long summer for Royals fans. Including this one, Kansas City has lost three of their first four series of the 2023 season.

Brad Keller takes the mound for the third time this season and he will look to build off a strong start to the season. The righty is 1-1 with a 2.61 ERA through the first couple weeks of this year.

Salvador Perez is still getting done for KC as he leads the team with two home runs and six RBIs. Vinnie Pasquantino has a team high .289 batting average.

Texas Rangers are Going Streaking

On the flip side, Texas enters this game on a three-game win streak and look like they could in contention for some time this season. The Rangers are going for their second sweep of the 2023 season with a win on Wednesday.

Nathan Eovaldi is scheduled to make his second start and he will look to carry his early season success into this one. Eovaldi has not allowed more than three runs in either of his first two starts this year and holds a 1-1 record.

The Rangers are balanced offensively as Corey Seager leads the way with a .359 batting average and Adolis Garcia has a team high two home runs and 11 RBIs.
