We will have some interesting games in the NFL in Week 7, and one of them is surely this conference clash in D.C., so make sure you read the best Packers vs. Commanders betting pick and odds.

Green Bay is hoping to avoid another unexpected defeat, which would be the third in a row when they take on Washington at FedEx Field. The Packers are -4.5 favorites on BetDSI Sportsbook, while the total is set at 41.5 points. These conference rivals have faced in 2021, and the Packers won 24-10 in Green Bay.

Packers lost to both New York teams in two weeks

The Green Bay Packers (3-3, 2-4 ATS) were on a three-game winning streak and they hoped to extend it against the New York Giants and New York Jets but lost both games. After an international duel with the Giants in London, UK, the Packers suffered a stunning 27-10 loss at home to the Jets. Curiously, the teams were tied in total yards at 278, but the Jets’ D was on top and this young team made a statement win.

Aaron Rodgers completed 26 of 41 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown. Allen Lazard caught that TD pass from Rodgers and collected 76 yards on four receptions, while Robert Tonyan led all the receivers with 90 yards on ten catches. Green Bay’s run offense struggled; the hosts had just 60 yards on 20 carries. On defense, De’Vondre Campbell and Adrian Amos combined for 15 tackles.

WR Randall Cobb (ankle) and WR Christian Watson (hamstring) are out for the Packers against the Commanders on Sunday.

Commanders snapped a four-game losing streak in Chicago

The Washington Commanders (2-4, 2-4 ATS) were only one pass away from the fifth consecutive loss, but Justin Fields’ pass to Darnell Mooney went inches short of the end zone and Washington beat the Chicago Bears 12-7. The Commanders scored nine unanswered points in the final 15 minutes to claim this road victory. Although the Bears were better in total yards and first downs, Washington had some key defensive stops and will be more than happy with this scrappy win.

Carson Wentz completed 12 of 22 passes for miserable 99 yards. Terry McLaurin got 41 of those yards, and because of ineffective pass offense, the Commanders turned to the running and Brian Robinson Jr, who led the team with 60 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts. Washington registered five sacks, while Cole Holcomb dominated on defense with game-high 12 tackles.

QB Carson Wentz (finger), TE Logan Thomas (calf), and CB William Jackson III (back) are unavailable to play on Sunday against Green Bay. WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring) is questionable to feature.

Trends:

Green Bay:

  • 11-5 ATS in the last 16 vs. NFC rivals
  • 8-2 ATS in the last ten games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game

Washington:

  • 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 0-5 ATS in the last five games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Commanders Pick

Taylor Heinicke was named a starter for the Commanders against the Packers on Sunday. Even with Wentz healthy and starting for the hosts, I’d have my doubts about their pass offense against the best pass defense in the NFL that allows only 164.0 yards per game to the recovers. The Commanders will probably have to turn to its run offense, but 95.5 ypg is not something that should worry the Packers much. After a pair of unexpected losses, the Packers now must win this game, and I am backing Aaron Rodgers and co. to do it.

Pick: Take the Packers at -4.5 (-110)

The Total

Sadly, Aaron Rodgers’ offense is not among the best in the league anymore, and just 17.8 ppg is quite disappointing. Still, Washington is even worse in that segment with 17.0 ppg, while both teams have average defenses, so I don’t think we will have a lot of points here. Under is 5-2 in the Packers’ last seven games overall; Under is 4-1 in Green Bay’s previous five vs. NFC rivals, Under is 4-0 in the Commanders’ last four games overall, while Under is 7-1 in Washington’s previous eight home games.

Pick: Go Under 42.5 points (-135)
