Top 25 teams from the Big Ten meet in college basketball betting action on Thursday night at the Kohl Center when the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Indiana Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers have proven a heck of a lot this year. They are definitely going to be a team that is in the NCAA Tournament barring an epic collapse down the stretch, and they are certainly on the up and up for as long as Cody Zeller, the hero of this squad, is still in Bloomington. The frosh has come on and proven that he can play with some of the best and brightest in the country, and he is the reason that this team is once again considered a prominent team in the Big Ten after years of dismay. The Hoosiers have played well at home against some great teams, knocking off the likes of the Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Michigan Wolverines. Even the 19 point win against the Penn State Nittany Lions over the weekend was notable considering the fact that it was on the heels of a three game skid. However, what the Hoosiers haven’t proven yet is that they can win games on the road. They have gone 1-3 SU and ATS on the road in conference this year, and every time that the team is faced with adversity against a comparable team or a team that is better than it is, it has folded. This is the same type of situation against the Badgers, who are historically a team that is impossible to beat in this building.

The Badgers have won four in a row and are 3-1 ATS in that stretch. Their wins on the road at the Purdue Boilermakers and Illinois Fighting Illini really changed the course of the season, and it went from being a year that could have ended with a lot of disappointment to one in which could turn out to be fantastic. Wisconsin did lose two in a row at home in conference play this year, surprisingly to the likes of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Michigan Wolverines (the latter of which came by 18 points!). However, if the Badgers are going to keep this momentum rolling, they are going to have to get back to their ways at home and just physically dominate as they normally do. Jared Berggren had been on a bad slump until going into Champaign against the Illini. There, he scored 18 points and really helped lead the way for that victory. The other key scorer for this team, Jordan Taylor, is averaging 14.1 points per game, and he is well on his way to All-Big Ten honors this season. Taylor has scored at least a dozen points in 11 straight games, making up for a very sluggish start to the season.

The Final Word: The Badgers are just the better team in this game, and the Hoosiers don’t have the grit or the tenacity to play with them in this building. Wisconsin is too hot to be topped. There is a reason that it is 7-1 ATS in the last eight in this series.
Indiana Hoosiers @ Wisconsin Badgers Pick: Wisconsin -7
