VietBet.comMLB Betting Previews- Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers

The Seattle Mariners continue their current four-game series with the Texas Rangers this Tuesday night with Game 2 of this AL West clash from Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The first pitch is slated for 8:05 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on MLB.TV.

Seattle got an early start to its season by splitting a two-game series with Oakland two weeks ago in Japan and ran its record to 3-1 with two more victories over the Athletics on the road this past weekend. The Mariners have shown some early power at the plate with a total of 15 runs in their last two games. Ichiro Suzuki and Munenori Kawasaki have combined for four RBI this season to help lead the way.

Blake Beavan, who was a former Texas first-round draft pick, will get the start for Seattle in this game. He earned a spot in the rotation with a 3.48 ERA and 1-1 record in five outings this spring. Last season, the right-hander went 5-6 in 15 starts and had a 4.27 ERA overall, but was 1-1 against the Rangers with a 1.84 ERA.

Texas is off to a 2-1 start after outscoring the Chicago White Sox  by a combined 11-6 in three games this past week. The Rangers were heavy home favorites in all three games and the total stayed ‘under’ in all three as well. They pounded-out four home runs against Chicago but hit just .234 as a team.

Neftali Feliz is scheduled to be on the mound for Texas on Tuesday night. The right-hander will be making his first MLB start after spending the last two seasons as the Rangers’ closer. He leads the team in career ERA at 2.55 among pitchers with at least 150 innings under their belt.

The Mariners are 6-14 in their last 20 AL West games and 11-25 in their last 36 road games against a right-handed starter. The total has stayed ‘under’ in four of their last seven games dating back to last season.

The Rangers are 36-15 in their last 51 games at home and 26-10 in their last 36 games overall. The total has stayed ‘under’ in five of their last seven games overall.

Seattle is just 18-44 in its last 62 games in Texas including a 1-8 road record against the Rangers last season. The total has stayed ‘under’ in four of the last seven meetings. Stick with Texas to extend its edge at home in this matchup by adding another victory to the total. The Free MLB Pick: Texas 5     Seattle 2
