Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig has decided he will be in attendance as Barry Bonds looks to continue his pursuit of the all-time home run record. SBG Global reports that early betting consensus has the public taking the Braves on the road.

"Throughout this season, I have watched Barry Bonds' pursuit of the home run record," Selig said. "Now that he is on the verge of tying the record, the time has come to announce that I will make every attempt to attend the record-setting moment. Out of respect for the tradition of this game, the magnitude of the record, and the fact that all citizens in this country are innocent until proven guilty, I will attend Barry Bonds' next games to observe his potential tying and breaking of the home run record, subject to my commitments to the Hall of Fame this weekend. I will make an additional statement when the record is tied."

The Braves are a PK with a total of 8.5 Over (-115) at SBG Global.

"It's a nice birthday present," Bonds said. "I said that my opinion wouldn't change no matter what the Commissioner did, and this just supports my respect for him. It's nice to be recognized by Major League Baseball for this. But I haven't done anything yet. I don't want to look too far ahead of where I need to be."

The Braves go with Chuck James against Bonds and the Giants on Wednesday and James is 8-7 with an ERA of 3.58. James has pitched well but oftentimes gets no luck. He has had no decisions in his last two starts despite pitching well. In his past four starts, James is 2-0 and has allowed only three earned runs in 24 2/3 innings.

The Giants go with Noah Lowry on Wednesday. Lowry wasn't at his best in his last outing, but he managed to hold the Brewers to four runs in six innings to pick up the win. Lowry has gone 4-1 with a 3.00 ERA in his past five starts and leads all Giants starters in wins and ERA.

The Braves will try and concentrate on the game and not on Bonds. "You've got to think of winning the ballgame," Atlanta manager Bobby Cox said. "You can't think of giving up the home run to [Bonds] and that you don't want that on your record and all that stuff. If he hits a home run, he hits a home run. That we win the ballgame is the most important thing."

"I wouldn't mind our pitchers giving up a home run, if we win the game," Cox said. "He's hit them off the best. It's nothing to be ashamed of, that's for sure."
