While the rosters of the two clubs have changed drastically since 2011, each team's former slugger now struggling in Anaheim, the success of the franchises has remained. The Rangers have been locked in a battle for the top spot in the AL West, a battle which they are currently losing to the Oakland A's. A successful weekend in St. Louis could have the Rangers back in the top spot and they'll need a strong performance from rookie Nick Tepesch to get there.

The rookie right hander is winless in his last six starts and has struggled mightily in June, posting two losses and a 6.95 ERA in four starts. His teammates have hit well on the road this season and will need to do so on Sunday to provide enough run support for the youngster. The Cardinals lineup is strong from top to bottom and will have no trouble putting runs on the board.

Representing the home team, ace Adam Wainwright will look to continue his Cy Young-worthy season as he searches for his 11th win of the young season. The 6'7'' right hander has won five of his last six starts, but has been inconsistent at Busch Stadium, where he owns a 3-3 record this season. Cardinals fans have little to worry about here as his record reflects the lack of run support he has received, his 1.91 ERA on his home mound proving he is just as effective there as he is in any ballpark.

While the Rangers' lineup could trip up Wainwright, the veteran should navigate through the order with relative ease as he earns his 11th win of the 2013 campaign.
