Several years ago there was a new trend that hit the sports betting world. That trend was to bet against the public. This trend made sense. The theory is that the public is always wrong and if you want to be a smart football bettor you want to bet against the public.

When the No. 16 TCU Horned Frogs kick off against the No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday, the Horned Frogs are destined to be a double digit road underdog. The line opened at -11 and it currently stands at -13.5 in favor of the Cowboys. However, the Horned Frogs are not interested in the spread.

Just as we did yesterday, we're going to look at some early movement in Saturday's CFB games and see if we can ascertain not only "why," but where the line might go as well as where it might close. We know from experience that often times these early moves are "setup" moves, with the true position coming later in the cycle and at a better number.

By all accounts, Wyoming Cowboys’ quarterback Josh Allen has been the most disappointing player in 2017. Allen came into the season on the short list as the potential No. 1 selection pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Instead, he has underwhelmingly performed in the first three games of the season.

The 2016 PAC-12 title game has a rematch coming up on Saturday. The No. 7 Washington Huskies travel to the Colorado Buffaloes to face off in this PAC-12 showdown. The Huskies come into the game as a 10.5 road favorite. When they met last season, the Huskies won, 41-10 during a dominant performance.

Week 4 of the college football season has some interesting matchups on deck. Once again, we have a few monstrous matchups in the SEC. The Vanderbilt Commodores look to continue rolling in 2017. Meanwhile, the Mississippi State Bulldogs take on their second Top 25 ranked team in the middle of their three-game gauntlet.

The Big Ten has seven games on the Week 4 schedule. Three of the games are between conference rivals, while the other four contests are non conference tilts. Currently, only two of the games have point spreads in the single digits. As a result, the Big Ten does not plan to have an eventful day.

With the Alabama Crimson Tide entering SEC play this weekend, there is one question remaining for quarterback Jalen Hurts. Has he progressed as a passer? So far, the jury is still out on Hurts and the Alabama passing game. Currently, the Crimson Tide are averaging 178 passing yards per game during their three game winning streak. Hurts has all but 64 of the passing yards and he has been able to make some big plays.
