An exciting Western Conference First Round series is into game six and it could end Friday night when the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Los Angeles Lakers. Memphis extended their season one more game and will now have the tough task of beating the Lakers on the road to get the series back to Memphis. Below is my NBA pick for the Grizzlies vs Lakers.

Why Bet the Los Angeles Lakers:

✅ Los Angeles has been good of late and have won 10 of their last 13 games overall and five straight home games.

✅ Against Memphis, the Lakers are 2-4 against the spread in their last six meetings.

✅ The Grizzlies are just 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Memphis Grizzlies Fighting to Stay Alive

Game five was a typical NBA game that saw one team jump out a massive early game lead, the trailing team came all the way back, but then ran out of steam and the team that led early gets the win. This is exactly what happened in game five when the Grizzlies jumped out to a big first quarter lead and kept their season alive with a 116-99 victory.

Memphis won the first quarter by 14 points, but the Lakers started chipping away and were down just nine points at the half. The Lakers made it a one-point game late in the third quarter, trailing 75-74 with 4:36 left, but the Grizzlies quickly jumped ahead and led by 20 points just 14 seconds into the fourth quarter. A big game by Memphis with the season on the line.

Ja Morant continues to ball out as he had 31 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in the win. Desmond Bane added 33 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in game five.

The Los Angeles Lakers are One Win Away

Los Angeles is getting nothing out of Anthony Davis and they made the decision to bench him at the most important time of the game. It will be interesting to see if this lights a fire under AD or if he sulks and is disengaged in game six.

In the game five loss, Anthony Davis did lead the Lakers with 31 points and 19 rebounds. LeBron James struggled, but did have 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists on the night.
