An Eastern Conference First Round series can conclude Wednesday night when the Florida Panthers visit the Boston Bruins. Boston is the best team in the NHL and it’s a surprise this series was not a sweep, but the Bruins should take of business and get this series over on Wednesday. Below is my NHL pick for the Panthers vs Bruins.

Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins Betting Pick

The Pick: Boston Bruins -1.5 (-118) at BookMaker

This game will be played at TD Garden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 26, 2023.

Why Bet the Boston Bruins:

✅ Boston had a historic regular season and that has carried over to the playoffs with them winning 11 of their last 12 games played.

✅ The Bruins have won five of their last six home games against the Panthers.

✅ Florida has been bad at the wrong time and have now lost five of their last six games overall.

Florida Panthers Fighting for Their Playoff Lives

Florida is on the brink of elimination, but they may have some hope with them winning 6-2 in Boston in game two. That is now a distant memory for Bruins fans as they comfortably won both games in Florida and now have a 3-1 series lead.

Game four was a slow burn for the Bruins as they led 1-0 after the first period and grabbed a 2-0 lead early in the second. The Panthers got one back in the second and made in 2-1 after two, and it was 3-2 Bruins midway through the third. Boston scored three goals in the final 12 minutes of the game to get the comfortable win and the comfortable series lead.

Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett scored for Florida on the day. Three Panthers recorded an assist in the game four loss.

The Boston Bruins Have One Foot in the Second Round

Boston will probably be disappointed this series is going five games, but if they take care of business Wednesday night, they will get some nice rest and be ready for round two. This was always going to be a mismatch and the Bruins still look like the Stanley Cup favorites.

In the game four win, jake DeBrusk and Taylor Hall, two goals each, were joined on the scoresheet by Brad Marchand and Tyler Bertuzzi. Nine (!) Bruins recorded an assist in the win.
