One of the most interesting NCAAB games scheduled for Monday, February 6, will be played between these ACC rivals in Florida, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best Blue Devils vs. Hurricanes betting pick and odds.

Duke is searching for the fourth consecutive victory when they visit Miami at Watsco Center. The Hurricanes are 3-point favorites on Bovada Sportsbook, while the total is set at 146 points. These ACC foes will meet for the second time this year; the Blue Devils won 68-66 at home a couple of weeks ago.

Blue Devils beat North Carolina at home

The Duke Blue Devils (17-6, 9-14-0 ATS) won six of the previous eight games and are on a three-game winning streak after defeating the North Carolina Tar Heels 63-57 in the most recent game at home. The Blue Devil now climbed to the 6th place in the ACC with an 8-4 record in conference play. Duke shot only 39.3% from the field but limited the Tar Heels to 34.3%, while the Blue Devils were better in rebounds (46-40) and blocks (11-3).

Junior guard Jeremy Roach led the Blue Devils with a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds, which was his fourth 20-point display of the season. Kyle Filipowski added 14 points, seven boards, and two blocks, Tyrese Proctor had 11 points, seven rebounds, game-high five dimes, and two steals, while Dereck Lively II posted four points, a career-high 14 boards, and career-high eight blocks.

F Dariq Whitehead has missed the previous three contests due to a left leg injury, and it is unclear if he will return to face Miami on Monday.

Hurricanes edged Clemson on the road

The No. 23 Miami Hurricanes (18-5, 14-9-0 ATS) responded to a tight road defeat to the Pittsburgh Panthers with a couple of wins over the Virginia Tech Hokies and Clemson Tigers. The latest 78-74 W against Clemson came on the road and it was a fully deserved one as the Hurricanes were in control for the most part of the game. Miami made 17 free throws opposite Clemson’s eight, while the Hurricanes were better in rebounds (38-28).

The Tigers won the bench battle (18-7), but all five Miami starters ended the game in double figures. Sophomore guard Nigel Pack led the team with 20 points and four rebounds. Isaiah Wong had 15 points and four boards, Wooga Poplar chipped in 14 points and five rebounds, while Jordan Miller and Norchad Omier combined for 22 points and 14 boards.

Trends:

Duke:

  • 2-7 ATS in the last nine games overall
  • 1-6 ATS in the last seven road games
  • 0-7 ATS in the last seven games following an ATS win

Miami:

  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 20-8-1 ATS in the last 29 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600
  • 5-2 ATS in the last seven games following a straight-up win

Duke Blue Devils vs. Miami Hurricanes Pick

The Blue Devils are perhaps playing well lately, but they will have a mountain to climb against Miami, who is unbeaten at home this year (12-0). In fact, these two teams are only unbeaten at home in the ACC, and I am backing the Hurricanes to stay that way after this Monday game. The Blue Devils have a top-40 defense that allows 63.4 points per game, but the Canes have a highly-efficient offense that is scoring 78.3 ppg, and it’s going to be hard for the visitors to keep Miami below 70 points. Miami scored 70+ in eight of the last ten games, and I am backing the hosts to outscore the Blue devils here.

Pick: Take the Hurricanes at -1.5 (-133)

The Total

Each of the last three H2H encounters produced at least 152 points, and considering the total for this game, I expect a high-scoring affair. Miami is 18th in college basketball when it comes to offensive rating with 113.7 points per 100 possession, while Duke is 71st in that regard with 109.0 points per 100 possessions. Over is 17-7 in the Blue Devils’ last 24 vs. a team with a winning straight-up record; Over is 5-2-1 in the Hurricanes’ previous eight overall, while Over is 4-1 in Miami’s last five home games.

Pick: Go Over 144.5 points (-130)
