A Western Conference First Round series continues Sunday night when the Denver Nuggets visit the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets are looking to finish off the sweep, but this series will either end in game four or game five regardless. Below is my NBA pick for the Nuggets vs Timberwolves.

Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Pick

The Pick: Denver Nuggets -3.5 at Bookmaker

This game will be played at Target Center at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Why Bet the Denver Nuggets:

✅ Denver has been in great form of late having covered the spread in five of their last six games played.

✅ Against the Timberwolves, the Nuggets have covered the spread in four of their last five meetings.

✅ At home, Minnesota has covered the spread in just three of their last 11 games.

Denver Nuggets Going for the Sweep

The Denver Nuggets were expected to get through this series, but I am not sure how many people thought it would be this easy. Denver has scored at least 120 points in two of the three games and their smallest margin of victory has been nine points. In game three, the Nuggets did have to battle through as they led by just six points at the half and six points heading into the fourth quarter. Ultimately, the top seed in the West got it done and is now just one game away from the sweep.

Denver was led by Nikola Jokic and his 20 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Michael Porter Jr. added 25 points and nine rebounds in the win.

The Minnesota Timberwolves Look Hopeless

Minnesota might not be able to stop a team of five high school kids from scoring 100 points and they have been poor all series long. Something is wrong with this Timberwolves team, and they will have to figure out how to make this roster work in the offseason.

Anthony Edwards did everything he could to get Minnesota a win as he led the team with 36 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Rudy Gobert added 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in the loss.
