Consensus Report For College Football: Top 3 Games in Week 5
- Updated: September 26, 2012
If you have not yet applied the football consensus report as a handicapping tool you are missing out on an opportunity to improve your handicapping arsenal with weapons to bang the book and fatten your bankroll.
The college football schedule for week 5 has provided another opportunity to apply the consensus report to select a few winners. Here are three games that jump off the schedule.
The Florida State Seminoles travel to South Florida to take on BJ Daniels and the Bulls. The Seminoles are 15.5 point favorites and obviously the better team, but there could be a good chance for a letdown in this game. Following the big win against Clemson a week ago 74 percent of the public is flocking to the Seminoles, but this game will be closer than most people think and the points look attractive.
The game between Ball State and Kent State is flying under the radar. Most people don’t follow these types of game until the end of the season and if they do bet them, it is often with limited information. Start researching these teams now and you will find some soft spots. Kent State is a complete team and playing with extra preparation time they look like a bargain at +2. The public is pounding Ball State as 72 percent of the public is on the road team.
Finally in the SEC, the Texas A&M Aggies are 13.5 point favorites over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Due to the public downfall of the Razorbacks the public is jumping ship and 62 percent of the betting public is backing the Aggies to get their first win in the SEC. This is a mistake. With the pressure off the Razorbacks and Tyler Wilson back at quarterback, the Razorbacks have a realistic chance of winning this game, and the points are a bargain.
Here are just three examples of how the consensus reports can point out big chances to pad your bankroll by reading into the numbers.
