The final game of the NHL regular season is set for Friday night when the Colorado Avalanche (50-24-7, 28-11-1 away) visit the Nashville Predators (42-31-8, 22-14-4 home). Colorado can win the Central Division by getting two points in this one. Nashville will miss the playoffs by a very small margin, but they will look to ruin the Avs chance at a division title in their season finale. Below is my NHL pick for the Avalanche vs Predators.

Colorado Avalanche vs Nashville Predators Betting Pick

The Pick: Colorado Avalanche -190

This game will be played at Bridgestone Arena at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Why Bet the Colorado Avalanche:

✅ Colorado has looked like one of the best teams in the NHL of late, winning six of their last seven games played.

✅ The Avs have been dominant on the road, winning 10 consecutive games outside of Denver.

✅ Nashville has not fared well against the Avs as they have lost seven consecutive meetings with the defending Stanley Cup champs.

Colorado Avalanche are Looking to Win the Division

The Colorado Avalanche have hit their stride since the All-Star Break and they look ready to defend their Stanley Cup run from last season. Colorado has won four of their last five games and enter this game just one-point behind the division leading Dallas Stars. A win on Friday would give the Avs the Central Division title, will set up a date with Seattle in the first round, and will have Colorado finish the regular season with the fourth most wins in the NHL.

Nathan MacKinnon is one of the best in the game and he leads the Avs with 68 assists and 107 points this season. Mikko Rantanen has scored a team high 55 goals this year.

The Nashville Predators Want to End on a High Note

Nashville has started playing great just a little too late as they have won four of their last five games overall entering this one. If the Predators were to win Friday night they would fall just one-point short of the final Wild Card spot. A disappointing season for Nashville, but the future is bright for this franchise.

Roman Josi has led Nashville with 41 assists and 59 points on the season. Matt Duchene has scored a team high 22 goals on the year.
