College Football Week 3 Betting Trends

We’re two weeks into the college football season, which just means that there is a ton of awesome hard hitting action ahead of us. The marquee matchup for week three is the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Texas A&M Aggies. Can Nick Saban’s crew get revenge for their only loss last season? Though that is the biggest matchup of the weekend, there is money to be made in a lot of other games.

This will give bettors a good look at some of the most important trends to consider before placing a bet this week. Let’s look at trends to consider for games this coming weekend.
-Louisville is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games. The Cardinals are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings on the road against Kentucky. Kentucky won big last weekend, but that might not be a good thing for their chances this weekend. The Wildcats are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 following a straight up win. They are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 following an ATS win.
-Boston College is 0-5 ATS in their first road game of the year over the first five years. The Eagles are 0-3 ATS in their last 3 against the PAC 12. They’ll be in southern California to go up against the USC Trojans, who are coming off their worst performance in a very long time last weekend.
-Air Force is 15-1 ATS in their last 16 road openers as an underdog. Having said that, they are just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Boise State is just 3-11 ATS in their last 14 conference games. The Broncos have cooled off against the number the last couple years after they were a number covering machine for several years in a row. Air Force and Boise State meet Friday night.
-The over is 6-0 in UCLA’s last 6 games following a win. The over is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. The over is 4-0 in Nebraska’s last 4 games overall. UCLA and Nebraska meet Saturday and the posted total is set at 70.
-Oregon was extremely impressive in blowing out Virginia on the road last week. The Ducks host the Tennessee Volunteers this week. Oregon is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. Tennessee is 0-7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS win.
-How about the game of the week in the SEC? Alabama is 20-8 ATS in their last 28 road games. The Crimson Tide are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 September games. Texas A&M is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 SEC games. The Aggies are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games. This should be a heck of a battle.
-The Arizona State Sun Devils are looking for a big win at home this weekend against the Wisconsin Badgers. Arizona State is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games. They are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against the Big Ten. Wisconsin is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games.
-Iowa and Iowa State meet in a big intrastate rivalry game on Saturday in Ames. The underdog is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 games in this series. The under is also 7-1 in their last 8 games in this series.
-Can Illinois make it two upsets in a row? The Fighting Illini host Washington this week. Illinois is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS win. Washington is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
