College Football Week 13 Betting Trends
- Updated: November 22, 2013
A week after knocking off Oregon and turning the BCS standings upside down, Stanford was upset by USC and fell out of the national title picture. Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, and Baylor just kept taking care of business. Only Baylor looks to have a real test this weekend. The rest of the top four will likely just run up the score on a much lesser opponent this weekend. Just a couple weeks left in the regular season. These games mean a ton this time of the year!
BangtheBook offered a trends to consider article during the baseball season, and now we’ll be having a college football trends to consider article during the football season as well. This will give bettors a good look at some of the most important trends to consider before placing a bet this week. Let’s look at trends to consider for games this coming weekend.
-Who would have believed that Northwestern (who started 4-0) would lose 6 straight games? The Wildcats have lost every way imaginable, and it’s hard not to feel a bit bad for Pat Fitzgerald’s bunch at this point. They host Michigan State this weekend. Michigan State is 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games. Northwestern is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.
-Oklahoma is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games in the Big 12. The Sooners are used to dominating the Big 12 Conference, but that isn’t the case of late. Kansas State is 21-6-1 ATS in their last 28 Big 12 games, but the Wildcats are without their top defensive back for this game.
-Texas A&M will be in Baton Rouge for a very high-profile game against LSU this Saturday. Texas A&M is 7-15 ATS in their last 22 against a team with a winning record, but they are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 November games. LSU is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 following a bye week. The over is 6-1 in LSU’s last 7 home games. The over is 7-0 in the Aggies last 7 conference games.
-It’s a matchup of 8-2 Pac-12 teams at UCLA this week when the Bruins host the Arizona State Sun Devils. UCLA is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Arizona State is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games at UCLA. This game is big for the Pac-12 South standings.
-Vanderbilt and Tennessee meet in a big intra-state battle in Knoxville this weekend. Vanderbilt took it to the Volunteers last year. Vanderbilt is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 November games. Tennessee is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games. The under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between these teams.
-Two teams who have been very good to bettors square off this weekend in Mississippi. The Missouri Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. They are also 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. Mississippi is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The over is 6-0 in Missouri’s last 6 road games. The over is 4-1 in Ole Miss’ last 5 games.
-Two more teams that have been number covering machines meet in Minnesota. Wisconsin is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games against teams with a winning record. Minnesota is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games. The over is 12-1 in the last 13 meetings between these two.
-Baylor is 21-5 ATS in their last 26 games. Oklahoma State is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 home games. Baylor is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games at Oklahoma State. This should be the Bears toughest test the rest of the season.
