College Football Odds Week 14: Championship Games Take Center Stage

Week 14 in college football is all about the championship games as this week boasts a slew of big games that will have big BCS implications.
The most notable of these big games is the SEC Championship. The Georgia Bulldogs host the Alabama Crimson Tide and the opening betting line opened up with the Crimson Tide as seven point favorites and of the writing of this article the line could be found as high as nine points in several locations. This is a perfect example of why having multiple sports books during the football season. Line shopping can make the difference between winning and losing in championship week.
On Thursday the Louisville Cardinals battle the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in what amounts to the Big East Championship game. The winner of this midweek contest will basically have the edge on the BCS berth from this conference. The line opened at minus two for Rutgers and has since moved up to -2.5. This basically shows that this game is a tossup and the only edge is home field advantage.
The ACC Championship game features a game against two teams coning in off a loss. FSU and Georgia Tech square off for the conference title this Saturday night in Charlotte and the opening line has the Noles listed as -13 point favorites in this contest. The double-digits are not a surprise as the Seminoles are clearly the better team. This line could approach two touchdowns by kickoff.
Finally the Big Ten Championship will be played when the Wisconsin Badgers battle the Nebraska Cornhuskers. This may be the closest game of all the championship games. The Cornhuskers opened as 2.5 point favorites heading into this contest.
All lines will move as the week goes along so it is important to keep an eye on the books and lock in the number you want as soon as you see it.
