The NCAAB action continues with another conference duel on Monday, February 20, and here you can read the best Titans vs. Gauchos betting pick and odds.

Cal State Fullerton is searching for its fifth consecutive win when they visit UC Santa Barbara at The Thunderdome. The Gauchos are 6-point favorites on BetOnline Sportsbook, while the total is set at 130 points. These Big West foes will meet for the second time this year; the Gauchos won 66-58 on the road.

Titans didn’t have problems with Cal Poly at home

The Cal State Fullerton Titans (16-12, 18-7-1 ATS) won six of their previous seven games and are on a four-game winning streak. After defeating the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and UC San Diego Tritons on the road, the Titans comfortably beat the Cal Poly Mustangs 83-62 at home. Cal State already created a 15-point lead at halftime and then just maintained a double-digit lead and cruised to the victory. The hosts were good from the field (52.8%) and hit 13 triples opposite the Mustangs’ three, which made the biggest difference in this win.

Junior guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. led the Titans with a game-high 23 points and four rebounds. Max Jones added 18 points, Jalen Harris scored 16, while Grayson Carper contributed ten points and game-high eight boards off the bench.

Gauchos lost to UC Riverside on the road

The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (20-6, 15-9-0 ATS) suffered consecutive losses for the first time this year; after losing to the UC Irvine Anteaters at home, they lost 74-63 against the UC Riverside Highlanders on the road. The Gauchos did make 51.0% shots from the floor but hit just three three-pointers opposite UC Riverside’s six, and these triples made the difference in this loss.

Senior forward Andre Kelly led the Gauchos with 22 points and game-high eight rebounds. Josh Pierre-Lewis had ten points and six boards, while Miles Norris scored ten points with two steals.

Trends:

Cal State:

  • 11-4 ATS in the last 15 games
  • 7-3 ATS in the last ten games on the road
  • 4-2 ATS in the last six games against UC-Santa Barbara

UC Santa Barbara:

  • 2-4 ATS in the last six games against the Big West opponents

Cal State Fullerton Titans vs. UC Santa Barbara Gauchos Pick

The Gauchos do have four wins more than the Titans, but both teams are quite close when it comes to offensive and defensive numbers. UC Santa Barbara scores 70.4 points per game opposite Cal State Fullerton’s 69.0 ppg. On defense, both rivals allow below 65.0 ppg, so this game has the potential to be tight. The Gauchos won by eight in the previous H2H, but I don’t think they will do it that easily this time around. The Titans are in better form at the moment and the momentum is entirely on their side, so I am backing them to cover here.

Pick: Take the Titans at +7.5 (-130)

The Total

These teams are well known for their solid defenses, but the respective offenses are not even among the top 220 in the country. The Titans scored 159 points in the last two games but managed to score more than 66 points in just one of the previous nine H2H encounters. The rivals didn’t play overtime since 2010, so I am going with a low-scoring affair. Under is 5-2 in the Titans’ last seven overall; Under is 9-4 in Cal State Fullerton’s previous 13 road games, while Under is 4-1 in the Titans’ last five games following an ATS win.

Pick: Go Under 132.5 points (-133)
