If you like basketball this is the time of year for hoop heaven. College basketball is tipped off and they have some serious tournaments and then there is the NBA. The NBA is hitting into a time of the season where they get into a real groove. Enough basketball has been played where those that like to bet on the pro game can really get a feel for the game. There are no more surprises and all of the teams have found their starters and their rotations. This is the time for the handicapper to win some money. All they have to do is get all of their information handy to handicap the latest offerings.
Gathering information is easier than ever in this day and age with all of the information that is out there for the taking. With social media and a steady stream of NBA betting information the basketball bettor can be on the winning side time and time again. Once again the NBA betting sheet is loaded with all of the information that you need to win when you wager on the NBA this week. Take a look.
Grizzlies changing of the Guard
The NBA is not afraid to fire their coaches. Unlike other sports that will hold onto coaches or managers for a long period of time, the NBA is a quick trigger league. They showed that again when the Memphis Grizzlies parted with David Fizdale. Fizdale was fired in the midst of an eight game losing streak and he will be replaced by J.B. Bickerstaff who will be the interim coach until the team finds a replacement. This good be a disappointment for the basketball bettors who were fading the Grizzlies as they started the season at 6-13 against the spread (ATS). This includes the current 2-11 ATS stretch that the team is on. Even with a new coach this team is a mess as Mike Conley is hurt and Marc Gasol is unhappy about a benching in a recent game. The odds makers will adjust but right now this team is untouchable at the betting window.
Warriors Are the Walking Wounded
A good handicapper will always check out the injury report before betting on a team. This could be especially true when looking at a game involving the Golden State Warriors. Right now the Warriors have three injured superstars in Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green. All injuries should be researched but when this many players are hurt you have to pay close attention before placing a bet on (or against) the Warriors.
A Nice Nugget
Certain teams in the NBA are just not used to winning and one of those teams is the Denver Nuggets. They have alternated wins and losses over the last seven games with the last game being a double digit win against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Nuggets do not do well after a blowout win as they are 0-6 ATS after a straight up win of 10 or more points. This is not good news as the Nuggets go to Utah on Tuesday night and they are also 1-4 ATS in the last five road games.
Three in Four
Several teams enter this week by playing three games in four nights. This tough scheduling spot could be a chance to fade these teams. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Memphis Grizzlies and the New Orleans Pelicans all have tough crunches this week in the National Basketball Association.
