Sure we all know that when it comes to betting on sports, football is king. NFL and college football always see plenty of sports betting action, but slowly but surely basketball is moving in and stealing the spotlight. Now that the World Series is wrapped up and the Major League Baseball season is over more and more focus will be put on the basketball betting season. That means it is time to start researching and figuring out what teams to bet on in the National Basketball Association.
We know that time is tough to come by and it is not always easy to research basketball so we have you covered with our NBA betting sheet. The NBA betting sheet is a quick reference guide to betting on the NBA and picking winners. We do this by providing the winning angles, betting trends and news and notes for the NBA. In the latest edition we will get you geared up for betting on the weekend.
Leaning on Leonard
The San Antonio Spurs are a very good basketball team. At the end of the season they will be in the playoffs and they will be a team to watch. However they are right now without their best player and that is a problem. The Spurs do not have Kawhi Leonard in the lineup as he has been sitting out with a quad injury. That means the Spurs will be without a player that chipped in 25 points per game and played 31 percent of the games. The Spurs have lost some ugly games without him in the lineup and are a team to avoid until he gets healthy.
Weeping over the West and the Best
There is now doubt that the best basketball teams play in the Western Conference. However the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets have been struggling to pay off for bettors. In fact overall, the best teams in the league have been failing miserably. If you add the Cleveland Cavaliers into the mix with the teams listed above you will see that combined they are just 11-22 against the number this season. That may mean it is time to stay away from these teams when they are installed as big chalk.
Cashing in on the Green
Things looked ugly in Boston When they lost one of their best players to injury and stumbled to a 0-2 start. Since losing the first two games this team has been money. They have not lost since and they are an amazing 7-1 ATS this season. They are not only winning the big games against teams like the Spurs, but they are cashing in against bad teams like the Kings. It is still early in the season, but right now the Celtics are noting but money for basketball bettors.
At the start of the season it was a mortal lock that the Cleveland Cavaliers would win the NBA Central division. That still may hold true but right now they are looking bad. They are 3-5 SU and miserable 1-7 ATS. Meanwhile the Pacers and the Pistons are tied for first with a 5-3 SU record and they are both an amazing 6-2 ATS this season. The Pistons looked really impressive on a west coast trip as they beat both the Clippers and Warriors outright as underdogs before a letdown game against the Lakers to round out the trip.
Watch the Phoenix Suns this week. They have an ugly stretch of schedule. On Friday night they will play at New York against the Knicks. That is the fourth game of a five game road trip. It will also be the third game in four nights. That is not it. After the Knicks they go to San Antonio and return home against the Brooklyn Nets for their fifth game in seven days. That is a tough stretch for any team and you can expect plenty of chances to fade the Suns during this tough calendar crunch.
