Game two of the Eastern Conference Playoff First Round series is set for Monday night when the Brooklyn Nets visit the Philadelphia 76ers. The first game of this series was a complete beatdown by Sixers and they will look to take care of their business at home in this one. Below is my NBA pick for the Nets vs 76ers.

Brooklyn Nets vs Philadelphia 76ers Betting Pick

The Pick: Philadelphia 76ers -10

This game will be played at Wells Fargo Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Why Bet the Philadelphia 76ers:

✅ Philadelphia has been impressive against the spread of late having covered six of their last nine games played.

✅ At home, the Sixers have won nine of their last 11 games against the Nets.

✅ Brooklyn has covered the spread in just five of their last 10 games overall.

Brooklyn Nets Hope to Right the Ship

Brooklyn did not end the regular season in the best of form and that carried over into game one of this series when they lost 121-101. The game was not as close as the final score indicates as the Sixers could not stop making three-pointers.

Brooklyn has now played the Sixers in two straight games and, although the starters did not play in the regular season finale, they have lost both games by a combined 49 points.

Due to injuries and trades, Nic Claxton led the Nets with 12.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in the regular season. Royce O’Neale led the team with 3.7 assists. However, Mikal Bridges has been on the better players in the NBA since coming over to Brooklyn and he put on a show in the first half of game one.

The Philadelphia 76ers Looking to Keep it Going

The Sixers are riding high and have now won four of their last five games. Philadelphia was heavy favorites going into this series and that won’t change after their impressive game one performance. Going 21-43 from beyond the arc is not sustainable, but this series appears like it may end in a gentleman’s sweep.

Joel Embiid is going to win MVP this season, but the story of game one was James Harden and his 23 points 13 rebounds performance.

The Sixers swept the regular season series, 4-0, but they only played once with the teams that will be playing in this series.
