Basketball Odds: New York Knicks @ Philadelphia 76ers Pick

The Atlantic Division race could get a heck of a lot more interesting on Wednesday night if the New York Knicks can find a way to beat the NBA betting lines against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Knicks are still below .500, but they are getting closer and closer as the days drift by. They made it to 4-0 SU and ATS under the direction of Head Coach Mike Woodson when they smacked the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, but this whole team knows that this is the toughest game that the team has had since Woodson took over for the departed Mike D’Antoni. It was another game in which things really just came together for all of the big boys. Jeremy Lin, Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire, and Carmelo Anthony all seemed to move the ball together, and all four ended the day with at least 17 points on the board. Lin had a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists against just three turnovers, while Stoudemire had 22 points and 12 boards as well. This is the type of consistency that the Knicks have been looking for all year long out of some sort of cohesive offense, and it only took until now for that to happen.

Bet on MLB at BetOnlinePhilly was off on Tuesday night getting ready for this one, and it has to feel good about being on track again after beating the snot out of the Charlotte Bobcats. It was a welcome change with an easy game after a tremendous stretch of really tough battles, many of which ended in losses. These 76ers know that they have their work cut out for them to keep this lead in the division, though every time either the Knicks or the Boston Celtics have gotten close, they have always had the goods to ultimately keep some distance between themselves and the others. Now, the gap is closing incredibly tightly once again, and the Knicks can draw a lot closer if they can spring the upset in the City of Brotherly Love. It is going to be all about the defense for the Sixers, though they have to be mightily concerned that New York has exploded for at least 102 points in four straight games since Woodson took over. It is a good challenge for the team though, and we know that it is one that badly needs to be passed here at home.

The Final Word: The Knicks aren’t quite an elite team at this point, but by Eastern Conference standards, they’re getting there. New York is clearly a good enough squad to beat anyone in the conference playing like this, and these are the types of teams that the 76ers just find ways to lose to. We don’t think that Wednesday night is going to be any exception whatsoever.

New York Knicks @ Philadelphia 76ers Pick: New York Knicks +4.5
