Will he play, or will he sit? That’s the question once again for Kobe Bryant, who has missed a ton of games with a shin tendon issue down the stretch of the season. It is odd for Bryant to sit out from any game, let alone a stretch like this one in which the team really needs him. The Lakers are just a half game up on the Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific Division, and there is a big time difference between winning the division and being the No. 3 seed in the West and falling behind the Clips and potentially having to go on the road in the first round of the playoffs. These last four games of the season are going to be brutal, as three of the four are on the road and the home game of the bunch is against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yikes. As always, the pressure is going to be on the back of Andrew Bynum, who has played like one of the best centers in the league in Kobe’s absence. He had 21 in the loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the team’s last outing.

Bet on MLB at BetOnlineThe Warriors have dropped five games in a row, and they are really starting to look like they have just given up on the season. We now know that Stephen Curry, who has battled injuries all season long, is out for the rest of the campaign, and we really don’t expect to see Andrew Bogut, David Lee, or Richard Jefferson either. What is left is a team full of guys that should be on the bench or in the D-League in most cases. The bright spot is the emergence of Klay Thompson as a massive threat. He scored 29 in his most recent game, a loss to the aforementioned Spurs, marking his third straight game with at least 24 points scored. The youngster out of Washington State has a sweet stroke and can make it on this team in the future, though we think that he is better served coming off of the bench for some instant offense than to be in the starting five. Head Coach Mark Jackson is trying to get this team to be a little bit more defensive minded, and though that isn’t showing on the scoreboard this year, where it is showing is in what the rest of this roster is shaping up to look like for next season.

The Final Word: This would be a nice game for the Warriors to win, as it is their equivalent of the Super Bowl for the rest of the season. The Lakers could be in some trouble in this one, knowing that they are going into a bit of a hostile territory against a team that does still have some players that can do some damage. Go with Thompson and the Warriors on Wednesday night.
