There has been a lot of talk about how impressive the Miami Heat have been, but we must remind all that it was Chicago that went on a West Coast swing to start the season and lived to tell about it. Miami… not so much… The Bulls are the first team in the NBA to make it to 10 wins on the season, and they are doing it in very impressive fashion. There are definitely some question marks for Friday’s game, as Richard Hamilton, Derrick Rose, CJ Watson, and Joakim Noah all show up on the injury report with various ailments. Rose sat out on Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards, but the Bulls didn’t need him, as they rolled 78-64. It was an ugly lineup that night, as Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer were really the only two regulars in the lineup. John Lucas had to take 28 shots, especially with Noah battling his injury and only playing 19 minutes in the entire game. If Rose is out of the lineup in this one, we have a lot less confidence that Lucas can take over as the starting point guard and get the job done against a team that has the potential to be one of the best defensively in the NBA.

BetOnline.comThough we tend to think that the Celtics will ultimately be fine when push comes to shove, this 4-5 start to the season has to be worrisome for Head Coach Doc Rivers. His team already looks old, and it hasn’t started these back-to-back-to-back games in three different cities quite yet either. The men that are really picking this team up are Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo, as the likes of Paul Pierce, and especially Kevin Garnett are really starting to show their age. The addition of Brandon Bass was huge, but losing out on Kendrick Perkins at the trade deadline last year is really proving to hurt, especially now that the man that was picked up in the flip for Perkins was Jeff Green, who won’t play a game this year. The C’s have lost back-to-back games here on the Parquet Court, and that is brutally bad news for a team that has some very tough games ahead.

Chicago Bulls @ Boston Celtics Trends: The Celtics have played terribly on Friday, for whatever that is worth, as they are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 dating back to last season on this day of the week. The home team has won five in a row in this series, but the Bulls are the hot ATS team. They are 5-1 ATS in their last six. Eight of the last nine clashes here in Beantown have gone past the ‘total’, but the last two meetings, both of which were at the United Center, failed to reach the mark.
