Villanova Wildcats (8-0): Well, Villanova Wildcats have won 6 of 8 games by double digits. They ran past Penn and St. Joes last weekend. Their toughest non conference battle should be coming up this week. Next up: Tuesday @ Gonzaga, Sunday vs. LaSalle.
Texas A&M Aggies (7-0): Texas A&M really opened eyes with their dominant victory over West Virginia in the season-opener. They continued to play like the best team in the SEC. The Aggies also have a win over the USC Trojans. Next up: Tuesday @ Arizona, Saturday vs. Prairie View A&M
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-1): The Fighting Irish were no match for the Michigan State Spartans on the road. However, they bounced back with a win over St Francis on Sunday. They also have a victory over Wichita State this season. Next up: Tuesday vs. Ball State, Saturday @Delaware.
Wichita State Shockers (6-1): The Wichita Shockers are one defensive stop from being an undefeated team. The Shockers have wins over Marquette and Baylor. Next up: Tuesday vs. South Dakota State, Saturday @ Oklahoma State.
Seton Hall Pirates (7-1): Thanks to a last second bucket, the Seton Hall Pirates went to Louisville and left with a win. After their one point loss to Rhode Island, the Pirates have won three straight games, including a victory over Texas Tech. Next up: Saturday vs. VCU.
Florida Gators (5-1): The Florida Gators haven’t played in a week. However, the last time they were on, they had the Duke Blue Devils on the ropes. Unfortunately, a late-game slide caused the three point loss. The Gators seem to have the makings of a Final Four team. Miami Hurricanes (7-0): A road win over Minnesota was followed up by a home win over Princeton. The Miami Hurricanes are gifted defensively and should vie for the ACC title. Next up Tuesday vs. Boston University, @ George Washington.
North Carolina Tar Heels (8-1): It seems the North Carolina Tar Heels got the message after their worst shooting performance in program history. The Tar Heels have won three straight games over Michigan, Davidson and Tulane. They played four games in a 7 day span. Next up: Wednesday for Western Carolina, Sunday @ Tennessee.
TCU Horned Frogs (8-0): TCU has the best record in the Big 12. They just demolished the Yale Bulldogs, 92-66. The schedule gets much tougher this week. Next up: Tuesday vs. SMU, Friday vs. Nevada.
Kentucky Wildcats (7-1): The Wildcats held off a game Harvard Crimson squad on Saturday. Their lone loss came to the Kansas Jayhawks. They also have a win over Vermont. However, the Wildcats upcoming games should provide a clearer picture. Next up: Saturday vs. Monmouth.
Gonzaga Bulldogs (7-1): The Gonzaga Bulldogs have one loss to the Florida Gators. Otherwise, they have started off strong in non conference play. The Bulldogs have wins over Ohio State, Texas and Creighton. Next up: Tuesday vs. Villanova, Sunday @ Washington.
Arizona State Sun Devils (7-0): With wins over Kansas State and Xavier, the Arizona State Sun Devils might be the biggest surprise thus far. They have a chance to really stake their claim as a national title contender this week. Next up: Friday vs. St. Johns, Sunday vs. Kansas.
