We are one day away from the return of football, but there are a lot of other sports to consider this week as well. On the Wednesday September 18 edition of BangTheBook Radio, we hit college football and the NFL, but also talked some MLB as professional handicapper Bryan Leonard and VSIN host and contributor Wes Reynolds joined our own Adam Burke.

We cover all four of those sports, plus a whole lot more at BangTheBook.com. We are your one-stop shop for sports betting news and information and we provide insight and analysis for college football and the NFL, golf and NASCAR, MLB and WNBA, esports and UFC, soccer and tennis, and basketball and hockey when those are in-season. Check out all that we have to offer. You’ll be impressed.

Host Adam Burke had some opening remarks and also a disclaimer that we did record the show on Tuesday afternoon, just so you keep that in mind if the lines are off a bit.

2:45-41:30

Professional handicapper Bryan Leonard from WagerTalk.com joined us for this week’s Sports Wagering Talk segment to cover college football and the NFL. The guys threw a curveball, pardon the pun, by starting the segment with a quick baseball discussion and some thoughts on the betting market before taking a look at some of this week’s CFB and NFL action.

Adam and Bryan looked at listener requests on the college side for Michigan State vs. Northwestern, Tennessee vs. Florida, and Bowling Green vs. Kent State. On the NFL side of the ledger, they talked about Lions vs. Eagles and also Texans vs. Chargers.

41:30-1:16:10

Wes Reynolds, contributor to VSIN and the Point Spread Weekly newsletter, joined us for this week’s Wednesday Wagering segment. Adam and Wes also talked about the betting market and some of the really interesting developments that we’ve been seeing recently. Then the guys took a look at some of the college football games that have caught Wes’s eye this week, including Michigan State vs. Northwester, Michigan vs. Wisconsin, and Louisiana vs. Ohio.

On the NFL side, the guys looked at some of the overreactions present in the market and also looked at some betting opportunities in some of these games with backup quarterbacks and some overrated 2-0 teams.

Join us on Thursday when we chat with professional handicapper Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com.
