Bryan Leonard from WagerTalk.com joined us for this week’s Sports Wagering Talk segment. The topic of conversation during this segment was football, as we look ahead to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game and the Wild Card Weekend in the NFL. Adam and Bryan talked about all of the angles in play with this game, including what appears to be a sharp vs. public split thus far.

On the NFL side, the guys broke down all four Wild Card Weekend matchups to look for edges. We’ve got three favorites of a touchdown or more and one line that is pretty close. Are the movements we’ve seen so far true positions or are they setups for later in the week? This week’s games are Titans vs. Chiefs, Falcons vs. Rams, Bills vs. Jaguars, and Panthers vs. Saints.

39:00-1:17:00

An interesting listener question was posted last week regarding Wes Reynolds’s high-volume betting style. That’s how we opened up this week’s Wednesday Wagering segment. How should a bankroll be handled with such high volume? Is it more advantageous to flat bet? Use a Kelly Criterion framework? We got Wes’s opinion on how he handles it and talked about the pros and cons of the other options.

The guys also shifted gears quite a bit and dreamt of warm weather. These two Midwesterners, like most of the country, are freezing, so we went down to Maui for the Sentry Tournament of Champions to talk about golf betting. The wraparound season already started, but golf now becomes a weekly thing through the end of the season, so it is a good time to brush up on those betting tips and strategies that will diversify your bankroll and betting acumen.

Join us on Thursday when we chat with Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com and also Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk.com to cover the National Championship Game, the NFL playoffs, and college basketball.
