Hearing from professional handicappers on a weekly basis can only help you in your quest to bang the books. We’re not about touting plays or talking about games of the year. We’re about giving you the tools you need to succeed by leaning on the advice and skills of those that do succeed. This Thursday show was no different, as host Adam Burke spoke with Brad Powers and Ralph Michaels on bowl season, the NFL, and college hoops.
Host Adam Burke fired up another edition of the show by talking about the terrific content available over at BangTheBook.com. We’ve got so many informational articles, in-depth analysis pieces, current event updates, free picks, game previews, side-by-side statistical comparisons of teams, and so much more. We are your one-stop shop for sports betting news and information.
As we approach the bowls and continue with the busiest part of the sports betting calendar, you need to make sure that you are set up for success with multiple sportsbooks at your disposal. If you don’t have an account at DSI Sportsbook, check it out. They’re offering a $25 free bet to those that sign up using the promo code BTB25. Upon your first deposit, you’ll get a 100 percent deposit bonus for the sportsbook and the same for the live casino. At BetDSI, it’s only a game until you bet it.
Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com is one of the best college football handicappers in the business, so you’ll want to listen closely to his thoughts on the bowl season. Before the guys talked specifically about bowl games, they talked about some potentially controversial thoughts from host Adam Burke in this week’s College Football Power Ratings update. Are power ratings overrated? Are they losing importance?
The guys talked about bowl betting strategies, as we continued to compare and contrast with the other handicappers that we have spoken with so far this week on the show. What is Brad’s approach? When does he look to enter the market? What is he looking for over the next couple of weeks as games get closer?
They also hit on a couple of NFL games, with a focus on Vikings vs. Panthers and then on Cowboys vs. Giants, now that Ben McAdoo is out of the picture and Eli Manning is back in the driver’s seat.
Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk.com was today’s second guest, as he and Adam continued the bowl betting discussion to see what Ralph’s strategy is for these games. There are so many differences between this and handicapping a regular week in the college football season, which is a point that we are trying to drive home on the show.
Ralph also highlighted some of the games that he is looking closely at for the postseason and that was a good segue into some college basketball discussion. We’ve seen a lot of interesting results lately, with some big top 25 battles and some noteworthy upsets. In a vacuum, what do these games mean? Do they have any long-term importance? Is it just a one-off type of thing? Do we read too much into them?
Ralph also shared a couple of best bets for this weekend with our listeners as a parting note to end what has been a terrific show.
Join us on Friday for our Westgate SuperContest Selections segment with Joe Everett from NFL Draft Bible joining Adam to talk about the games and with a new version of The Odds Report with Brent from DSI Sportsbook.
