Thursday shows are going to be tons of fun this season on BangTheBook Radio and we gave you a little peak as to why on the August 22 edition of the podcast. Professional handicapper Brad Powers and Thor Nystrom of Rotoworld joined host Adam Burke to talk NFL Preseason and a whole lot of college football.

We’ve been talking about a lot of both at BangTheBook.com as well. We’ve got some NFL preseason previews for Week 3 with more on the way. Adam’s College Football Power Ratings are posted, along with some thoughts on Week 0, Week 1 situational betting spots, and all of the summer work that we did to handicap coaches, win totals, divisions, conferences, prop markets, and so much more. That’s how we got to be your one-stop shop for sports betting news and information.

Host Adam Burke opened up the show with some quick introductory thoughts and announcements and then opened the phone lines up for our first guest.

2:30-41:00

Professional handicapper Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com joined us to chat about the NFL and college football. The guys took a look at Week 3 of the Preseason and hit on some of Brad’s favorite spots and some betting angles for the Dress Rehearsal Week.

Then it was all about college football. The guys revisited some summer topics and went over any changes to Brad’s power ratings or thought processes going into the season. They looked at Florida vs. Miami, Arizona vs. Hawaii, and then started to look at Week 1 games with UCLA vs. Cincinnati, FIU vs. Tulane, and Utah vs. BYU.

41:00-1:18:00

Thor Nystrom from Rotoworld joined us once last season and we simply knew we had to have him back. So, with that in mind, we’ve got Thor Thursdays, or Thorsdays, if you will. Thor talked about his college football handicapping process and how he narrows down the card. His blend of metrics and old school tactics should resonate with a lot of listeners.

Then the guys applied those concepts and thoughts to this weekend’s two games and took a brief peek ahead at the Week 1 matchups that are jumping off of the page at Thor so far.
