bangthebook radio october 11We covered a lot of ground in a very reasonable amount of time on the Wednesday edition of BangTheBook Radio. With college football, NFL, NBA, NHL, and more NFL on today’s show, we set you up for success to build up that bankroll.

Bryan Leonard from WagerTalk.com was today’s first guest for our Sports Wagering Talk segment. On this segment, the guys started off with a couple of key quarterback injuries and discussed the adjustments to those teams, as well as how Bryan came to those numbers. Injuries play a big part and you need to be able to assign the right value to missing players so you don’t wind up with a bad bet.

Friday’s Clemson vs. Syracuse game was the starting point for the game breakdowns. There are some angles that we touched on with this game on Monday, but followed up with today. The guys also talked MAC football, which is Bryan’s specialty, with Ohio up against Bowling Green and Toledo against Central Michigan.

On the NFL side, we’ve got a lot of heavy chalk on the board this week. Adam asked Bryan how he approaches the big favorites and what his advice would be for those in pick ‘em pools or survivors when it comes to the big numbers. The guys discussed a couple of better games with Tampa Bay as a road favorite in Arizona and Kansas City as a growing home favorite against Pittsburgh.

42:00-1:19:00

Wes Reynolds joined us for this week’s Wednesday Wagering with Wes Reynolds segment. The NBA season is fast-approaching, so we took some time to chat with Wes about what he is doing to get ready for another year on the hardwood. We also revisited last week’s NHL discussion to talk about any observations that he has since things got underway.

The NFL was a main talking point of this segment, as we got Wes’s thoughts on all of the big double-digit favorites. The guys also touched on the Thursday Night Football game between the Eagles and Panthers and also examined the game between the Lions and Saints with some sharp investment on New Orleans.

Join us on Thursday when we chat with Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com and Ralph Michaels of WagerTalk.com.
