Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers – Game 2 Odds, Pick & Prediction

A fantastic National League Championship Series appears to be taking place and game two between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers is set to take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Los Angeles will once again be the home team in this game, but the entire series is taking place in the Arlington bubble. This game will air live on FS1 at 6:05 p.m. EST.

Game was tightly contested for the first eight innings, but the Atlanta Braves erupted for four runs in the top of the ninth to come away with a 5-1 game one win. Freddie Freeman got things started for the Braves with a solo shot in the top of the first. The Dodgers tied it up with a Keke Hernandez solo shot in the bottom of the fifth. Atlanta had plenty of wasted chances, but once the ninth inning rolled around, they took full advantage. Austin Riley started the inning with a solo shot, Marcell Ozuna added an insurance run with a RBI single, and Ozzie Albies put the game on ice with a two-run shot. This could be an all-time great NLCS.

The Dodgers are now just -118 favorites to advance to the World Series, down from -215 before the series started. Atlanta can be grabbed at -108 to get past Los Angeles, up from +172.

Below is my pick for the Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers. All odds are from BetOnline Sportsbook.

Atlanta Braves (+145) vs Los Angeles Dodgers (-167)

Pitching Matchup (Playoffs): Ian Anderson (2-0, 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP) vs Clayton Kershaw (2-0, 1.93 ERA, 0.71 WHIP)

Ian Anderson did not look like a rookie on the mound during the regular season and that has carried over perfectly to the postseason. Anderson made his postseason debut in the NLWCS and held the Cincinnati Reds to just two hits and zero runs in six innings of work. The rookie then pitched game two of the NLDS and held the Miami Marlins to just three hits and zero earned runs in 5.2 innings pitched. Ian Anderson has been lights out all season.

Clayton Kershaw has pitched in game two of each of the Dodgers first two series and has come away with two wins. Kershaw opened his 2020 postseason campaign with an eight inning, three hit, zero earned run, 13 strikeout, demolition of the Milwaukee Brewers. The future Hall of Famer then faced the San Diego Padres and held them to six hit and three earned runs in six innings.

MLB Predictions: The Los Angeles Dodgers tie this series up Tuesday night.
