The battle between the Ducks and Stars didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Dallas was handed a 6-2 defeat on Friday at Honda Center.

Anaheim was favored by -146 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.5.

Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Mathieu Perreault, Nick Bonino, Jakob Silfverberg, and Rickard Rakell each scored for the Ducks in the victory. Bonino opened the scoring for Anaheim, finding the back of the net at 5:32 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Frederik Andersen turned in a 34-save effort for the Ducks.

Shawn Horcoff and Jamie Benn scored for the Stars, finding the net behind Frederik Andersen.

Kari Lehtonen stopped 16 of 21 shots for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Anaheim went 4-for-6, while the Stars were 0-for-7 with the man advantage.

Anaheim lost the shots on goal battle to Dallas by a margin of 36-23.
