Cody Kessler led the way with 344 passing yards on Saturday as the Trojans picked up a 45-20 victory over the Bulldogs at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The Trojans were a 5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 65.5.
Javorius Allen rushed for 75 yards, while Ty Isaac added 44 yards in the win. Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor added 118 and 94 receiving yards respectively.
Josh Quezada rushed for 20 yards for Fresno State, while Marteze Waller added 17 yards. Derek Carr threw for 217 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Davante Adams and Aaron Peck had 74 and 47 yards respectively.
Southern Cal outgained Fresno State 487-254 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-14 by the Trojans.
The time of possession battle favored Southern Cal as their offense was on the field for 38:47, longer than the 18:33 of their opponents.
