Connor Cook sliced and diced the Cardinal defense for 332 yards as Michigan State handed Stanford a 24-20 defeat on Wednesday at Rose Bowl.

Jeremy Langford rushed for 84 yards, while Macgarrett Kings Jr. added 7 yards in the win. Bennie Fowler and Tony Lippett added 97 and 94 receiving yards respectively.
Tyler Gaffney rushed for 91 yards for Stanford, while Kevin Hogan added 41 yards. Kevin Hogan threw for 143 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Devon Cajuste and Michael Rector had 51 and 44 yards respectively.
Stanford lost the offensive yardage battle to Michigan State 397-305 yards in Wednesday's game. Michigan State had more first downs as that total ended up 21-11.
Michigan State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:11/28:49 split in that important category.
