Paul James scampered through the South Florida defense for 113 yards as Rutgers handed the Bulls a 31-6 defeat on Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium.
Rutgers was the ATS victor, as they covered the 4-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 44.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Chas Dodd completed 19 of 24 pass attempts for 179 yards for the Scarlet Knights in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Marcus Shaw rushed for 16 yards for South Florida, while Darius Tice added 7 yards. Mike White threw for 141 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Mike McFarland and Marcus Shaw had 47 and 25 yards respectively.
South Florida lost the offensive yardage battle to Rutgers 355-151 yards in Saturday's game. Rutgers had more first downs as that total ended up 25-8.
