Blake Bortles completed 17 of 26 pass attempts for 219 yards for the Knights in the win. He was picked off 2 times by the Bulls defense.
Marcus Shaw rushed for 67 yards for South Florida, while Chris Dunkley added 17 yards. Mike White threw for 211 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Andre Davis and Sean Price had 87 and 55 yards respectively.
South Florida was outgained by Central Florida 296-294 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-13 by the Knights.
The time of possession battle favored South Florida as their offense was on the field for 32:02, longer than the 27:58 of their opponents.
Next game, Central Florida takes its act on the road to face Southern Methodist looking for another win. For South Florida, they head on the road to face Rutgers.
