Connor Halliday sliced and diced the Utes defense for 488 yards as Washington State handed Utah a 49-37 defeat on Saturday at Martin Stadium.
Washington State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 52.5.
Marcus Mason rushed for 86 yards, while Teondray Caldwell added 10 yards in the win. Dom Williams and Marcus Mason added 154 and 88 receiving yards respectively.
Kelvin York rushed for 94 yards for Utah, while Adam Schulz added 36 yards. Adam Schulz threw for 347 yards for the Utes, while receivers Dres Anderson and Jake Murphy had 129 and 102 yards respectively.
Washington State outgained Utah 578-481 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-22 by the Utes.
The time of possession battle favored Washington State as their offense was on the field for 30:23, longer than the 29:37 of their opponents.
Next game, Washington State takes its act on the road to face Washington looking for another win. For Utah, they head home to face Colorado.
