The Miners had no answer for Orleans Darkwa on Saturday as the Green Wave rolled to a 45-3 win at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Tulane was a favorite by 16 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 47.5.
Nick Montana completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 171 yards for the Green Wave in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Nathan Jeffery rushed for 47 yards for Texas El Paso, while Autrey Golden added 13 yards. Mack Leftwich threw for 128 yards for the Miners, while receivers Eric Tomlinson and Devin Patterson had 71 and 47 yards respectively.
Texas El Paso was outgained by Tulane 482-232 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-13 by the Green Wave.
Texas El Paso lost the time of possession battle 30:53/29:07, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
