Shontrelle Johnson rushed for 84 yards, while Aaron Wimberly added 49 yards in the win. Justin Coleman and E.J. Bibbs added 78 and 71 receiving yards respectively.
James Sims rushed for 114 yards for Kansas, while Montell Cozart added 44 yards. Jake Heaps threw for 72 yards for the Jayhawks, while receivers Connor Embree and Jimmay Mundine had 22 and 21 yards respectively.
Iowa State outgained Kansas 502-279 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-13 by the Cyclones.
Kansas lost the time of possession battle 31:56/28:04, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Iowa State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against West Virginia. Kansas will aim to get back on the winning track vs Kansas State.
