Cooper Rush completed 13 of 21 pass attempts for 231 yards for the Chippewas in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Shadrach Abrokwah rushed for 93 yards for Massachusetts, while Jamal Wilson added 23 yards. A.J. Doyle threw for 45 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Tajae Sharpe and Elgin Long had 16 and 15 yards respectively.
Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Central Michigan 298-173 yards in Saturday's game. Central Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 14-11.
Central Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:40/29:20 split in that important category.
