Eric Soza completed 10 of 25 pass attempts for 183 yards for the Roadrunners in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Orleans Darkwa rushed for 103 yards for Tulane, while Rob Kelley added 41 yards. Nick Montana threw for 199 yards for the Green Wave, while receivers Ryan Grant and Kedrick Banks had 40 and 36 yards respectively.
UTSA was outgained by Tulane 348-309 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-15 by the Green Wave.
Tulane led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:31/22:29 split in that important category.
Next game, UTSA takes its act on the road to face North Texas looking for another win. For Tulane, they head home to face Texas El Paso.
