Final Score: Texas 4, Tampa Bay 3

St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Powered by three solo home runs by Adrian Beltre, the Rangers moved back into the American League Championship Series with a 4-3 Game 4 victory over the Rays. Tampa Bay rallied for a run in the bottom of the ninth, but Rangers reliever Neftali Feliz got Desmond Jennings to ground into a fielder's choice with the potentially tying run on base, securing the series-clinching win. The Rangers won the best-of-five Division Series against Tampa Bay, 3-1, beating the Rays in the ALDS for the second consecutive season. Last year, Texas won all three games played in St. Petersburg and used two victories at Tropicana Field to advance this season. Beltre's third blast was the decisive run, and he became the sixth player in history to hit three homers in a postseason game. He is the first to do so since Adam Kennedy hit three for the Angels in Game 5 of the 2002 ALCS. Ian Kinsler started Texas' power display by homering on the second pitch of the game.

Final Score: New York 10, Detroit 1

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Curtis Granderson made a pair of sparkling catches in center field and the New York Yankees exploded for six runs in the eighth inning to beat the Detroit Tigers, 10-1, to push their American League Division Series to a decisive contest. With the Yankees teetering on being eliminated from the playoffs, the two-time All-Star made a leaping catch to turn back a bases-loaded rally in the opening inning and made an even more impressive diving grab to likely save a run from scoring in the sixth. The Yankees also brought out the lumber Tuesday, piling up 13 hits, including Derek Jeter's two-run double in the third and seven singles during the eighth inning. All roads now lead to Yankee Stadium for Game 5 Thursday night with the winner to meet the Texas Rangers in the ALCS. A.J. Burnett (1-0) allowed four hits, including a homer to Victor Martinez, and had four walks and three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
