They played 14 innings, had 6 walks, 18 hits and 2 errors but still just managed 3 runs between them....most likely because every time anyone got on base the next guy struck out....Detroit batters K'd 21 times, while the Seattle batters K'd 19 times for a total of 40 K's in the 14 innings.
Starting pitchers Scherzer and Fernandez had almost identical lines both going 8 innings giving up 1 run with 12 K's each - Felix threw 106 pitches while Scherzer threw 105....
But because they went up against each other neither walked away with a win...
