MONDAY FIRST 5 INNINGS PLAY (YTD 2-1)

Colorado/San Francisco over 3.5 -110:
The Rockies are off to one of their best starts in history, but could be challenge facing one of the Giants top hurlers this evening under the lights at AT&T Park, a tough test alone for offense to begin with. Having won five straight, Colorado (5-1) is close to matching the franchise-best 7-1 start from its 1995 "Blake Street Bombers" club that eventually earned the club's first playoff berth. This year's Rockies are doing some slugging of their own with major league bests of 13 homers and 39 runs in their first six games.

San Francisco sends Madison Bumgarner to the hill. Bumgarner beat Colorado 4 times in 2012 and is 5-1 with a 1.75 ERA over his last nine games against Colorado. He's 2-1 with a 1.13 ERA in five all-time starts against the Rockies at AT&T Park, and had the majors' seventh-best home ERA last season at 2.38. However, Dexter Fowler hit his fourth homer of the season and Wilin Rosario had his third in Sunday's 9-1 victory over visiting San Diego giving Colorado 5 straight wins and a start reminiscent offensively to the days of the Coors humidor.

The Giants' rotation gave up zero earned runs in the first four games but it's allowed a combined 14 in back-to-back defeats to visiting St. Louis over the weekend. Matt Cain was tagged for nine runs - all in the fourth inning - in a 14-3 drubbing Sunday. Jorge De La Rosa (0-0, 8.31) will try to help send San Francisco (3-3) to another loss while reversing his recent struggles against the Giants. The left-hander is 1-3 with a 5.16 ERA in his last four matchups and gave up six runs over 3 2-3 innings in his only meeting last season, a 9-2 loss in San Francisco on Sept. 20.

Frisco just might welcome De La Rosa to counter Bumgarner since this could be an opportunity to break out of a slump for Frisco's silent bats. Buster Posey is batting .200 with zero RBIs and No. 2 hitter Marco Scutaro is 2 for 23 (.087) with two walks. De La Rosa allowed four runs, five hits and three walks over 4 1-3 innings in his season debut, an 8-4 win in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Carlos Gonzalez (.360 2 4) Michael Cuddyer (.450 2 7) and Troy Tulowitzki (.421 2 7) are also off to hot starts and will look to continue the momentum by the bay as the Rocks are hitting .316 overall. It's going to take more balance and contribution other than Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence if the Giants have plans on repeating their championship contention.

The price is just right here given the low total and despite the elements this evening under the lights, we hope to be just as successful as last week when SF and LA put things away at Dodger Stadium, another pitcher's delight of a ballpark. Best of luck however you play!

Big flies from Hunter Pence in the bottom of the first and from Carlos Gonzalez in the top of the third cash us upping our mark to 3-1 out of the gate! Back up later. Thanks and congrats to all that followed!
