I don't miss losing money on it! You really see how much a game is run by refs when you have money on it. Made $12k in college football last year and then lost $6k of it in pro basketball. I'd rather watch and bet on college hoops.
R.I.P. Entourage. I shall miss you dearly. =[

If a deal is 95% complete and a 78 game schedule can still be salvaged, then get a deal done already! I will still watch but this lockout is bringing back memories of '99 and leaving a bad taste in millions of NBA fans around the world. A deal has to be reached by next weekend in order to work out all the details, but at the same time if not more games will be canceled.

Maybe after foots season is over I will. Colleges don't interest me until March
Never, ever criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes........for at that point they will be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes !

I'm looking forward to the CBB season and don't hold any sympathy for these players who are too stubborn to settle on a 2% salary issue. They earn enough as it is and not only are they hurting the integrity of the sport, but the support of the fans. At this rate perhaps they'll play less than the 50 games in '99 when the lockout wasn't settled until well into January.

They deserve to fold. Maybe a winter and spring of playing in Europe or fending for their own expenses without the benefit of a check will make them think twice in 2012.

NBA officially cancels games through Dec. 15
The news was implied, assumed and the announcement, given recent events, is a formality. Nevertheless, the NBA officially cut another portion off its 2011-2012 regular season schedule on Tuesday.

Yahoo Sports reports that the league "informed late this afternoon [Tuesday] games through December 15th have been cancelled, a front office executive says."

103 games will be lost during this span.

NBA commissioner David Stern had targeted Dec. 15 as the start date for a 72-game regular season in the league's most recent proposal to the National Basketball Players Association, delivered last Thursday. Stern has made regular reference to "the calendar" determining the cancellation schedule and has stated that the league needs one month from the date an agreeement is reached to have sufficient time to begin its season. The NBPA rejected the NBA's proposal and issued a disclaimer of interest, disbanding the union and threatening to take the labor impasse to court.

The New York Post reported last weekend that the NBA had modified the schedules on its website to remove all games from Dec. 1 through Dec. 14.

Tuesday's cancellation represents the third cancellation of games in two-week increments. The NBA has now cancelled a total of 304 regular season games. On Oct. 28, Stern announced the cancellation of all games from Nov. 15 to Nov. 30. On Oct. 10, Stern cancelled the first two weeks of the NBA regular season, spanning from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15. On Oct. 4, Stern cancelled the NBA's preseason.
