Matchup: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

Spread: Texans minus-7
Public consensus pick: 58 percent picked Colts

Public perception: This is surprising since the Colts are locked into the AFC's No. 5 seed, while the Texans must win to secure the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage. (A surprise is right; other bet-tracking sites show that nearly 60 percent of wagers are on the Colts.)

Wiseguys' view: The Texans may need this, but it's hard to back them as they've failed to cover two of their last three and four of their last six -- and one of those covers was against the Colts, though they needed a late meaningless field goal to do it.

Tuley's Take: The Colts are saying all the right things about playing to win, and this looks like one of those games in which they might actually do that. However, they may not play their starters the full game; if a player comes up gimpy, reality could set in that they're jeopardizing their playoff chances. The pick: Pass (pool play: Texans).

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (-7, 45.5)

New York not only needs to win to make the playoffs but also needs Dallas, Chicago and Minnesota to lose in Week 17. The Giants have been outscored 67-14 in the last two games, however, those came on the road. New York is averaging 33.7 points at home and can break the franchise home scoring mark if they score at least 13 points Sunday. The Eagles nearly played spoiler to Washington last week and already have a win over the Giants – a 19-17 victory in Week 4. QB Michael Vick returns under center for Philadelphia after Nick Foles broke his hand in Week 16.

Matchup: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

Line moves: Pack opened at minus-3, currently minus-3.

Fuhrman says: "When you look at the Pack, they want to lock up that No. 2 seed, they want to play as many home games as they can. Since they had the emergence of their running game, this team has been tremendous. They are 8-2 against the number, and the last three games they have held opponents to under 200 yards passing. This is a team that is like the one that won the Super Bowl, not the one that peaked too early last year. I think this is the team to be wary of coming out of the NFC."

Dolphins passing game vs. Patriots pass defense
QB Ryan Tannehill has been playing well recently. He has 6 TDs and 1 INT in his last five games. But he's again working with an injury-depleted WR corps without Davone Bess (back). New England is the 29th-ranked pass defense. They're nothing special. Expect the Dolphins to again employ multiple formations, including having Bush split out wide, and expect Tannehill to use his mobility. Still, the yards won't come easily. EDGE: Dolphins
