MONEY MATTERS Tracking the line moves

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons – Open: -10.5, 46, Move: -9.5, 44

“The majority of public money (70%) is still backing the Falcons and laying the big number,”

“But this could also be a fade Arizona play for many as the Cards are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games. The total has dipped, but only a point with us, going from 45 to 44.”

Bolts stop the run, but can't run

The Chargers have been stout against the run, holding four opponents, including the Broncos, to 56 yards rushing or fewer.

San Diego ranks 18th in the NFL in rushing attempts and has had three games with 20 or fewer carries.

Injury line moves (or potential moves)

Skins opened as 3.5-point faves, still there.

"Garcon is the significant injury for Washington and Vick, Avant and a banged up Maclin are pretty much the Eagles' issues. If all are healthy at the current moment in the season, my spread would be the same. Washington is much more competitive on a week-to-week basis on defense. The Eagles offensive line issues, Vick's TO history and Andy Reid's current self-imposed straightjacket are my reasons for Skins in this scenario. Without Vick, I don't see much of a difference. I actually like it at Skins minus-4."

Garcon is in (as reported earlier--here at NFL pregame live!)

From Rachel Nichols on the sideline of Balt/Pitt

Even the Penguins' Sidney Crosby has expressed concern over Steelers' Ryan Clark playing after his 2nd concussion in 3 weeks, but... ...Ryan Clark tells me he'll wear a helmet tonight that's a size bigger than usual, packed with bullet-proof Kevlar padding

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

Line moves: General consensus had Steelers at minus-3.5, now Ravens minus-3.5.

"A game between these two teams has not had a spread higher than 3.5 since their first meeting in '09, when Dennis Dixon started. The average margin has been 5.9 points in their past 10 meetings. The right spread in this game when everyone is healthy is usually between minus-2.5 and minus-3.5 for the home team. My spread would be Baltimore minus-4 because I think a healthy Baltimore is still a more complete team."
