"Garcon is the significant injury for Washington and Vick, Avant and a banged up Maclin are pretty much the Eagles' issues. If all are healthy at the current moment in the season, my spread would be the same. Washington is much more competitive on a week-to-week basis on defense. The Eagles offensive line issues, Vick's TO history and Andy Reid's current self-imposed straightjacket are my reasons for Skins in this scenario. Without Vick, I don't see much of a difference. I actually like it at Skins minus-4."
Garcon is in (as reported earlier--here at NFL pregame live!)
Even the Penguins' Sidney Crosby has expressed concern over Steelers' Ryan Clark playing after his 2nd concussion in 3 weeks, but... ...Ryan Clark tells me he'll wear a helmet tonight that's a size bigger than usual, packed with bullet-proof Kevlar padding
Line moves: General consensus had Steelers at minus-3.5, now Ravens minus-3.5.
"A game between these two teams has not had a spread higher than 3.5 since their first meeting in '09, when Dennis Dixon started. The average margin has been 5.9 points in their past 10 meetings. The right spread in this game when everyone is healthy is usually between minus-2.5 and minus-3.5 for the home team. My spread would be Baltimore minus-4 because I think a healthy Baltimore is still a more complete team."
