Houston vs. Portland, 11/16/2012 22:00
Tonight we have a match up against two teams that played each other two weeks ago, the Trailblazers VS. the Rockets.
They played their last match in Houston where the Trail Blazers pulled away with an OT win of 10 points.
I like them here for the -2 favorites here at home tonight, after being able to do what they did in Houston two weeks ago.
They have had some tough loses recently, but I don't think a lot of people realize that if they have not had one of the toughest schedules in the league so far, I do not know who does.
Their first 7 games of the season have been tough match-ups as they have faced highly notable teams such as the Lakers in their home opener, Three games in a row on the road against the Thunder, Rockets, and the Mavs- then to come back home to face two of the top teams in the league, the Clippers and the Spurs.
Their is reason behind their inconsistency, they have had a tough schedule, but to be able to hang tough and hold a decent record gives this Trailblazers team some confidence moving forward in these upcoming games. They just recently came off a blowout Win on the road against the Sacramento Kings, who were their first easy match-up of the season, and they showed how to close a team out.
Tonight, as only a -2 point Favorite at home, look for them to cash in against the Rockets at home, who have been playing decent basketball, but do not have enough go-to options to be able to beat this Portland team in a tight Chess Match.
The Rockets heavily rely on James Harden, and with a little more adjustment from the Blazers to cover him better this game, expect the Blazers to win more easily then they did two weeks ago on the road in Houston. They have a well balanced team run by Damian Lillard, who looks like a veteran out there in his rookie year.
On a spread that is so close between two teams, and a previous match-up to statistically analyze between the two, you have to go with the home team tonight by putting into account that they won by 10 when they were on the road against the same team they play tonight - two weeks ago.
Some may say revenge games come with a different result, Houston has lost 19 of their last 28 "Revenge" games, in other words a match-up between a team they lost to the last time they played.
Take Portland minus the 2 points here.
Happy Betting and i wish you all the best of luck.
