Nba Pick - FREE MONDAYS- Harout Massoyan Handicapping
Oklahoma City vs. Detroit, 11/12/2012 19:30
Oklahoma City -6½/-110
Hi everyone, happy monday, and i hope you guys are all doing well.
I failed you guys last time around against a matchup that i had misprecieved.
It is different losing a spread that you know was a good pick , and then losing something you know you should have not played. That does not happen often with me, but sometimes our heads are somewhere else, and to make it up to you guys i have made up for my error with this strategic, and well thought about pick tonight.
The pick is in the matchup between Oklahoma City and Detroit.
This is a matchup against two teams that just recently played eachother in OKC.
I think early on in the season, OKC had a little trouble fitting into a good style of play with new guard kevin martin, and the absence of James Harden, but once these guys COMPLETELY figure it out. They are going to be one of the hardest teams to cut a deficit against during the dying minutes.
All 5 of their W's this season have been by double digits, and you have to remember- they are still not playing to their full potential. With each game to come, they are only going to get better and better, and by using their talent accordingly, teams are going to have a tough time covering this very talented OKC team. Kevin Martin is the type of player that you can put on the floor with your 4 other worst players on the roster, and not worry about scoring because his ability to get to the foul line.
This has two advantages, this gives KD and Russell Westbrook opportunity to rest by stopping the clock in the final rundown, and giving an opportunity to stretch the lead with the 90% + FT shooter K-Mart is.
Tonight they play on the road against detroit, who has still not had the opportunity to come back home after they played OKC in part of a long road trip. The pistons remain winless after Game # 7, and even though their time for a victory will come, do NOT expect it to be tonight after an exhausting road trip, but more significantly a Thunder team thats on a roll.
With four victories in a row, they carry that momentum going into detroit, and the confidence to beat them by a greater margin then they did last time.
Detroit is not a hard place to play at, and the home crowd factor won't matter much here tonight especially against the thunder that will not allow any fans to get into this one. Their won't be as many Detroit Runs to cheer about, as their will be with the silencing Runs from the Thunder. The thing i love about road games for the team that is the Favorite is the reduced spread than it would be at home, but when the arena does not have a big factor in detroit, it just makes it that much better.
The pistons have their worst team this year in the past decade dating up to their Championship days. This year they are 0-7 SU, and the only times they have been able to cover against the spread has been against teams their caliber, or spreads that were in double digits.
Tonight will be the toughest spread for the pistons yet. Its a tight margin, and against one of the best teams in the League. They are winless ATS against teams above .500, and spreads less that +7.
Take OKC tonight in Detroit tonight. -6.5.
From my success onto yours, I wish you all the best in tonight's games. (:
Sharing is Caring.
Let me know how you guys do.
