Damn i had a great run today too to have it wasted. So picks could be deleted after the games were over or while they were playing ? If so and database shows there was actually some changes made after games were final or during games then i think whomever did it should be disqualified from next weeks contest as well. Because cmon you know your cheating and taking advantage of a glitch.
Deleting picks have been a feature on the contest page at least for few months. I've changed my pick less than handful of times and always way before my original pick had started. Usually due to pitching change and getting better odds. I thought it was a good "feature", but never crossed my mind to check it's possible to delete picks after game started or ended.
Wonder if any winners did systematically change their losing picks? If I were running the site, I'd ban or at least issue hard warning to all cheaters.
Thanks to whoever discovered the wrong doing. I thought I had noticed this the other day in the mlb pod contest but was not sure I was correct in my observations. I was wondering how some of the players seemed to be on some really great runs the past few weeks. I agree w/ everybody above that the cheaters should not be allowed to play in any contests for a while.
I hope all these changes were time stamped in the database so we can tell who was changing picks after games were played or playing because its not right to those of us who played fair and lost or had a solid week this week to see it being thrown out. Changing a few before the games actually started is perfectly fine ya did nothing wrong but to have done it after they were over or almost over i have to agree some harsh action should be taken.
I realize everyone is upset with those cappers that were able to delete their picks. That's why this warning and software fix was necessary for Ryan to execute. If we can actually see who was responsible for cheating in the contest then yes I agree the stern warning should be issued or at the very worst we should disqualify those who cheated from the current contest. That way those who did not modify their plays after the games started or ended don't have to suffer the consequences, but if that cannot be determined at least this problem could be avoided in the future. Either way Ryan's decision is at management level discretion and what's right is right. Honesty is always the best policy especially when it comes to being fair since we receive the privlege of taking advantage of these contests at no cost to us.
